Jan 1,2023 Happy New Year from Quartzite Arizona
Another year over, let’s hope the challenges will stay in 2022. Here we sit in Quartzite on Plamosa Road about 5 miles north on the town of Quartzite that has a population of around 3500 in summer and 100,000 in January and February. Plenty of room here but it’s very rocky, hard to walk or bike on. Last night we had friends over for “ Happy Hour” our version is alcohol free of course no one seemed to mind. We take turns at our campsites, the night before was dessert at the trailer next door, our friends from Ma Al and Lorraine. We had a coyote walk thru rite at dusk followed by a beautiful sunset. We got our laundry done yesterday, filled one of the propane tanks, went to the dollar store and book store. Today is pretty windy and we had some rain earlier, the solar is charging even with clouds so we are happy about that. Tonight we hope to have an outside fire with friends.
We called Willow today and spent time with her on Caribu a program that enables you to connect online and read, play games, color and visit. Willow would prefer to visit us at out house( her words) but it will be probably another5 or 6 weeks before that happens…here are some recent pics
